Here are a few examples of what you can do with sheets…

This is just one twin designer flat sheet that had a little ruffle. We cut the sheet to wrap the cornice but left a little extra in the front bottom tuck slot so we could just tuck in the ruffled part of the sheet and secured with straight pins. So easy. And then we cut the balance of the sheet in half and tucked/pinned it in the back tuck slot of the cornice.

What a perfect way to decorate and add punch to your bedroom valance if you use the same sheets on your bed!

Because sheets are so easy to decorate with and so durable and sun resistant here is another example of a sheet window cornice. We used two flat twin sheets. We wrapped the cornice with a solid color. Then took pattern sheet and cut out squares. We put these square on edge and tucked into front top tuck slot and finished tucking into back bottom tuck slot. Then we just added trim (we did this with straight pins cause believe me they don’t show) around the raw edges of the created triangles.

Who needs curtains or a blind on a window …..when you can decorate your window with one queen flat sheet! Budget window decorating at its best and so simple yet different!

We just cut the sheet in two pieces … one piece approximately 26 inches wide to wrap and cover the cornice. Then added trim into tuck slot. Finished.

The other piece of fabric we just tucked and pinned in the tuck slot facing the wall and did this across the whole width of the cornice You can then gather and drape to one side or just flip panel over the top of the cornice for your own very unique decorating look and let the sun shine through.
I added the giraffe to give it some punch. At nite just let fabric fall to the floor.
