When Is A Valance Not A Valance?

Found this Cindy Crawford drapes and valence at a discount store. Drapes are beautifully lined and came with drape button and button hole tie backs. Now comes the good part. The drapes cost for two panels $9.99 and the valence was $3.99 Of course I covered the Top Banana Cornice with the valence to give this drapes a professional and costly look! BUT THE REAL COST… a TOTAL OF $15.00! I just love a good bargain that looks expensive! You can do this too!

We purchased at a discount store for $11 this set of curtains and valance. These two photographs show the curtains with the valence and the curtains with the Top Banana Cornice. All we did was cover the cornice with the valance It was easy. Which window treatment covering do you prefer. And remember, it does not always have to be expensive to create a wonderful window treatment.

For this window covering, we used the Top Banana Cornice and simply wrapped it with a cafe curtain. Here we show the curtain and then the curtain covering the cornice. It is easy and creates a wonderful look!
